Why be discrete?
Just wondering....why do so many people want to be "discrete"? Isn't separation the antithesis of what being on this site is all about?

I may stating the obvious here but I think that they may be referring to discretion in regards to the general, non-swinging public. I know myself, I like to keep my private life private.

Guess I'm just a little bit too cheeky sometimes..... I understand the need for discretion, but I'd rather be "discreet" than "discrete". That's all I was saying

If one is to read the sentence as it is actually intended, you'll find it's an oxymoron. By definition, discrete is "apart or detached from others; separate; distinct".
However, following the rest of the chain, one would conclude that "Discreet" - or discretion is the question at hand.
Discretion, in my humble opinion, is our prerogative and should be respected.

one reason why I am discrete: Jealousy. I know it sounds childish, but seriously once a few women found out one guy I was fucking, they made it their soul intention to fuck that guy to spite me for whatever reason. Also, some shun you cause they don't like the person you've picked either from rejection or cause their friends don't like them. I think it is ridiculous, but I prefer to stay out of the drama and not disclose who my playmates are due to those reasons. In this day and age you'd think people would be mature about things like that, but alas, not so.

playwithme, believe in discretion at all times. What happens on this site stays on this site unless I'm at a meet or other functions with lifestyle memebers. Just my two cents worth. And I fully agree with storm and slave, both have good points

I (Mrs.Blowupdollz) get frustrated when people contact us then "hide" behind the pc. They use the "oh I can't show you who I am because I need to be discrete BUT I think you're really hot"...It's a huge waste of our time having to ask for a smile photo. I know I don't want to meet new people that know what I look like and I have NO idea who they are. Maybe I'm nieve but aren't we all supposed to be ADULTS here on ThreesomeLand.com - Best Threesome Dating Site for Couples Looking for Singles?!?!? DISCRETE is being over used on here as a way to hide...discrete should be don't kiss and tell...RESPECT is what should be used and expected!!! Just my rant of the day...teehee

this is a very interesting topic because when we first joined the site and didnt know anyone,, i the female here was in tim hortons in bford with a friend whom is not from the site at all,, and was approached by a guy here off the site who recognized me,, and i had no clue who the hell he was till i got home and went on the putor and had a email sayin he was sorry,, i mean wtf,,,, its not only discreetness but respect among other things,, scared the shit out of me,,,,and yes we are to suppose to be adults on here but we are seeing thats not that case,,,

For us being respectful and discreet is to protect ourselves, we like a lot of people we have meet on here work in healthcare and with segments of the public which is considered vulnerable. B/c of that we could have problems at work if it came out we had the type of relationship that we do. I'm not saying that it's right or fair but sadly it has to do with how society seeing sex not us.
